About the Department
The department is an interdisciplinary hub of research, teaching and consulting expertise, that relates to science and technology of producing food grains. The department endeavors to become an efficient and dynamic department capable of producing quality graduates with training, research and community services skills that will be enterprising and self reliant. The laboratories are well equipped with the state-of-art precision defined instruments to explore ideas and visualize the concepts of technology in agriculture.
- To produce good quality agricultural engineers.
- To provide the required manpower in the field of agricultural engineering suitable for research and education, extension, government agency, private industries, agro-industries, NGO etc.

To assist farmers in reducing the cost of cultivation through better utilization of efficient farm machinery, soil and water conservation, irrigation management, value addition through farm level processing, post-harvest technology; protective cultivation and use of renewable energy ultimately help the farmers to increase their earnings Human resource development of the faculty.
